Alternative School Website Redesign

Mount Pleasant Academy

Challenge

A Legacy Project for a Good Cause

My classmates, Evangeline Baez and Morgan Braddock, and I were tasked with a very special project in our web design studio class. We continued the legacy of JWU web students working with Mount Pleasant Academy (MPA). More than 10 years ago now, JWU web students designed the website for MPA, a private alternative school for children with emotional and behavioral challenges. The site was great but now it needed a bit of an update and they reached out to JWU again for help.

A Fulfilling Conclusion

Together as a team we thoroughly analyzed the current site, created a brand new site map and worked to create a whole new web layout. Through professional communications and meetings, we met the customer’s needs and tried to meet their needs with the website. This led us to taking a trip to the school to take photos and videos to polish the site. We then developed the site in WordPress using Elementor, bringing it to life so we could deliver it to the school.
